The LG KT610 is a candy bar shaped, clamshell design smartphone. Measuring in at 108.9 x 53.9 x 17.2 mm and weighing 125.5 g, it's not as large or heavy as clamshell designs tend to be. The KT610's has a 2.4 inch TFT screen internally. It has a 320 x 240 pixel resolution and can display over 256,000 colors. The external screen is a 1.45 inch 4 line display. The KT610 has a 2 megapixel camera and a secondary VGA camera lens on the front for video conferencing and self portraits. For navigation through menus, documents and the web, the LG KT610 includes a full QWERTY keyboard.

The KT610 comes with 64 MB of internal memory, and can be expanded through the use of its microSD card slot. It runs on Tri Band GSM 900, 1800 and 1900 frequencies and GPRS, EDGE and HSDPA 2100 giving it 3G functionality up to 3.6 Mbps. Access to high speed networks gives the KT610 enough speed to view web pages just as fast as you would from your home PC. Download email attachments in no time at all without having to wait obscene amounts of time.

For connectivity outside of the cellular networks, The KT610 comes with native Bluetooth 2.0 (with A2DP profile) and USB support. The A2DP provides the ability to use Bluetooth stereo headphones for a richer, fuller sound. The KT610 has a built in GPS receiver for navigation. Combine this with downloadable maps through third party applications and you can find yourself from anywhere to anywhere.

The KT610 is a Symbian OS v9.2, S60 powered smartphone. It comes with a full suite of productivity software and and multimedia functionality. A lot of which is unique to the Symbian OS itself:
  • SMS (Two Way), MMS (Multimedia) and Instant Messaging are all available and easy to use with the full QWERTY
  • Email, Push Email - With support for HTML based POP3 clients and synchronization
  • Full web browsing - WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML. Very easy to view with the landscape oriented internal screen
  • Google applications (Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, Youtube)
  • MP3, RA, AAC+, WMA, WMV, MPEG4, H.263/H.264 files can be played back through the built in media player.
  • Polyphonic and MP3 ring tones
  • Games
  • Java MIDP 2.0
  • Voice command/dial
  • Document viewer - For viewing Word, Excel and PowerPoint document types
  • Photo/video editor
  • Integrated hands free
Additional software options come pre installed for your use. You can also download even more games, programs, music, etc. directly from the KT610 itself. This will give you even more options for productivity and multimedia features, as well as adding even more customized options to make the KT610 truly your own. You can also customize the look and feel of the Symbian interface through downloadable themes.

The LG KT610 is a user friendly smartphone. The built in multimedia options make it more than enough to keep you entertained when you're on the go. Its productivity and messaging software coupled with it responsive QWERTY keyboard should keep you happily viewing and typing away.
